Effective date: October 12, 2026
Lotsofpun (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Webnex Technologies and publishes jokes, puns and one-liners at lotsofpun.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we and our service providers collect when you use the site, how it is used, who receives it, and the choices you have. It applies to lotsofpun.com only.
1. Information we collect
Collected automatically
When you visit the site, your browser sends technical information to our web server and to the third-party services described in Section 4. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, language setting, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the date and time of each request. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.
Information you give us
- Email. If you write to us at webnextechnology@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the request.
- Comments. The site no longer accepts comments. Comments submitted earlier remain stored in WordPress, together with the name, email address, website address (if given), IP address and browser user-agent string that came with them. They are not displayed on the site. To have one deleted, email webnextechnology@gmail.com.
- Site search. The words you type into the search box are processed by the site to return results.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. The site and its service providers use them for these purposes:
- Analytics cookies. Google Analytics, added through the Google Site Kit plugin, sets cookies that count visits and show which pages readers use.
- Advertising cookies. Google AdSense, and the third-party advertising vendors that take part in Google’s advertising services, use cookies and similar technologies to show, limit and measure ads and, where enabled, to personalize them.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may change how parts of the site work. Section 6 lists further controls.
3. How we use information
- To run, secure and maintain the site, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To understand which topics readers use, so we can improve the content and layout.
- To show advertising that helps fund the site.
- To answer messages and handle correction and removal requests.
- To meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
4. Who receives information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with the following service providers, which handle it under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Google provides analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense). Google receives the page address, your IP address and other information your browser sends. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google’s servers, so your IP address and browser details go to Google when a page loads.
- Gravatar (Automattic). Author profile pictures may load from Gravatar. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
- Our hosting provider stores the site’s files and server logs.
- Authorities and advisers. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights, property or safety of the site, its readers or others, or to our professional advisers.
- Successors. If the site is transferred to a new owner, the information described here may transfer with it.
5. Advertising
The site is free to read and shows ads served by Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Some US state privacy laws treat targeted advertising of this kind as “sharing” or “selling” personal information. Section 6 explains how to opt out.
6. Your choices
- Browser settings. Block or delete cookies, or set your browser to warn you before a cookie is stored.
- Google Ad Settings: turn off ad personalization.
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits in that browser.
- WebChoices from the Digital Advertising Alliance: opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies.
7. How long we keep information
Earlier comments are kept until we delete them. Messages sent to our email address are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable time afterward. Server logs follow our hosting provider’s retention schedule. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account. We delete or anonymize information we no longer need.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the site and the information it holds. No website or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Lotsofpun is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email webnextechnology@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, give you a portable copy, or stop using it for targeted advertising. You may also withdraw any consent you gave earlier. We will not treat you unfairly for using these rights.
To make a request, email webnextechnology@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries, whose data protection rules may differ from those of your own country.
12. Links to other sites
The site links to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read the policy of any site you visit.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
